The Saritepe Campus lies with its 300 acres to the west of Kilyos, a former fishermen's town - now a popular touristic resort during the summer - on the Black Sea coast, 35 km from Istanbul. Having been added to the Bogazici University property in 1985, the campus now features the following facilities: The two dormitory buildings, with a capacity of 420, are the focus of life on the campus. Of the two adjacent buildings on the seaside, Block A has three auditoriums on the basement floor with 220, 75 and 75 seats. On the upper floors, various students' club activities are held regularly. The other building, Block B, contains offices and classrooms of the Sary'tepe Branch of the Foreign Languages School English Preparatory Unit, the Visual Activities Room, the Music Chamber and the Dining Hall. Coastal Engineering laboratory of the Civil Engineering Department is housed on the ground floor of Block B. The Residence Building provides housing mainly for the academic and administrative personnel working on the campus. The Boarding Facility overlooking the beach serves the academic and administrative staff and the graduates of the University as a place of recreation throughout the summer season, with its restaurant and rooms for accommodation. One of Istanbul's most popular beaches, the Burcbeach, is also on the campus territory.
